A number of students have registered and obtained their Ph.D. degree from the very inception of the School. At present there are six Ph.D. scholars in the school. So far the following scholarships are being enjoyed by the research scholars of the school.

  
   
  • National Doctoral Fellowship (NDF) awarded by AICTE
  • State government Fellowship
  • DST Women Scientist Fellowship
  • CSIR Fellowship
  • DADD Fellowship, Germany
  • Project Fellowship
  
 

Thirteen (13) Gate qualified students are enjoying AICTE M.E. Fellowship in every year since 2003.

The Central Board of Irrigation and Power, GOI, in conjunction with the UGC, has awarded two fellowships since 1993 for in service engineers to pursue higher studies at the School in the field of Water Resources and Hydro power Engineering, one at the ME and one at the Ph.D. level.

The Central Water Commission, GOI, is considering establishing one or two chairs on selected areas of study in the broad field of Water resources at Jadavpur University.
